Hi, my name is Julie Moxon and I am a fully qualified primary school teacher and a mother of 4.
Being a mum myself I believe that the social and emotional wellbeing of your child has an impact on how they view and interact with the world.
It’s important to get on top of your child’s anxieties no matter how big or small before they eventually reach adolescence otherwise, their feelings could escalate.
I decided to embark on becoming a play therapist, as a teacher observing certain children suffering from issues that were unexplainable to them. Undergoing the intense 3-year training postgraduate course makes me realise how powerful play therapy is.
I do the play therapy at home having my own therapy room and I also work within an educational organisation
Fully CRB, enhanced DBS checked and I have indemnity insurance
I have a safeguarding and health and safety policy: to ensure the child is safe at all times. The parent/carer stays close to the building or nearby.
I work in schools or other organisations: I will follow the safeguarding policy of the organisation to ensure a child I work with is safe at all times.
Confidentiality is important for each child I work with; A member of the ICO personal data protection
