Boy aged 9-10 years

Our son had anxieties, brought to the surface during covid lockdown, impacting his ability to socialise, eat out and restricting his ability to enjoy many of the things that he had loved doing in the past. The anxiety manifested as physical symptoms too and were really starting to impact his day-to-day life every day. Although we were unsure how he would take to therapy he embraced the opportunity and wasn’t reluctant at all as he felt it may help his anxiety and he soon made progress in being able to articulate and deal with those things that concerned him. Julie communicated with us throughout this time, finding out of the many things that were happening at home and school, both negative and positive, were being reflected in his play during his sessions. Julie Fed back her interpretations of the process our son was working through, whilst retaining the confidentiality of what was happening during the sessions. Now our son has completed the play therapy sessions, he is more able to deal with challenges and those that make him more nervous, he can articulate when he is anxious and why, and is happier in general. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Julie and her play therapy, as it has really helped our son in addressing his anxiety.
